Why

I love making (constructing, fabricating, forging). I feel a sense of bliss when a ring is finished. My other work is in live performance where the measure of success is not so easily identified. Waking up and working with my hands in my studio is fulfilling. My only hope is that, when you take a ring of mine home, that sense of bliss is passed along to you.

My aunt and uncle were the first professional artists I ever knew. They taught me silversmithing techniques at a relatively young age and I haven’t stopped making rings since. Performing is a very social and external art form, but jewelry making is solitary and intimate. I love this juxtaposition between the two things I do: they compliment each other and help to balance my life out.

I have performed for 13 years as a Blue Man and I have traveled the world performing hand shadows but I always enjoy coming back to my studio to craft tiny, singular, wearable sculptures that I can devote all my attention to. My jewelry is an expression of gratitude to the person who has purchased it.

Each and every piece is handmade by me, here in my Brooklyn studio, in solid gold or silver. Have ideas or doodles you’ve always wanted to see come to life? Have your own sentimental metal and/or stones gathering dust in your jewelry box?
Please contact me anytime and we can start creating the custom ring of your dreams.
